THE LORD YOUR GOD

Zephaniah 3:17

“The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

As we have seen in Scripture from the beginning to the end, God is with His people and will forever be in their midst. We have seen Him in Abraham’s life, as He had shown Himself faithful in keeping His promise of sending a ram into the bush in place of Isaac's death. As an act of obedience to God, Abraham trusted God's promise and laid Isaac's life down on the altar of sacrifice to give offerings unto the Lord (Gen 22:8-12). God is a promise-keeper (Heb 6:18-19)!

We see God provide food from on high to the Israelites as they traveled 40 days and nights through the wilderness. He sent manna and quail from heaven so His people would not starve (Exodus 16). He will surely provide your every need! He provided protection and guidance by sending a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night (Ex 13:21-22). He is deliberate! He guides us into His will. He is trustworthy!

He destroyed Pharoah and the Egyptian army and split the Red Sea for His people. He will save His people at all costs! Never fear what people can do to you. God can change what you cannot control (Matt 10:28). He will rescue you from all harm. Yes, His boast in His people goes unmatched!

When we are anxious, He surrounds us with His love (Isa 41:10). We can feel His presence because He exists on our behalf. We can trust His words; they are reassuring! To know God is to have everything needed for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Never fail to praise our God and spread His forever love to all who desire to know Him! He is our mighty God! He will save His people! He loves and rejoices over His people!

Keep in Mind:

  • Rely on the presence of God!

  • Be strengthened by the life of His word!

  • Never fail to exalt His name; He is worthy of all our praise!
